Thanks for the posting. I wrote this story over a decade ago, it went viral (though few knew who wrote it) and I decided to make a movie out of it this fall with the talented people at Free Range Studios. Shouldn’t we all strive for the ideals of a simplified, peaceful and fulfilled existence of enough to provide for our own benefit and have enough to share? Very nice story to share with our fast paced society. Thank you.
Thank you for this, I LOVE this story! I’ve only heard it told before (almost like a joke) so seeing this was a nice way to hear the whole story. :)
I wanted to mention that although I don’t comment a lot on this blog, that I subscribe to your posts and I’m really thankful for all that you write. You are very inspiring, and I know that for me personally, being new to Seattle, your resources on eating locally here have been a godsend. So thanks! I’m awarding you a Butterfly Award because I love your blog. Participate if you want, and I totally won’t be offended if you don’t. Just thanks for your thoughtful writing!
Thanks! I needed that!
It’s telling me the video is no longer available.
