Well-Being Meter

I woke up in the morning and realized I’d had a dream.  I dreamed that Matt and I were at a party, and we were eating Doritos.

Doritos??!

Yes, cheesy, crunchy Doritos.  And we were chomping on them.

I have no idea why – it’s not something I’d normally eat, in fact I can’t remember the last time I ate them (10 years?).

I wonder if at night my mind is excavating its junky thoughts…. and they come out in my brain in the form of Doritos?  Or is my mind testing my willpower?

Dinner is the most difficult.  At dinner, I feel hungry physically – it’s the only time of the day I really do.  And I want to eat.  I want to chew, and taste yummy things.  And I look forward to our dinners together, Matt and I – it’s when we decompress and settle in for the night.

It’s not quite the same over a little glass of liquid.  But we make do.

Weight: Two days ago I weighed myself at 133.6 lbs.  Today I weighed in at 132 lbs.  Not normally a healthy sounding thing, but I actually feel pretty good.  Surprisingly good.
